Comedy Night

Quip Shed Comedy is excited to be back for a night of award winning comedy at Bel & The Dragon, Wendover!

On Thursday 26th June we have comedy circuit legends Aideen McQueen, Sam Picone, and headliner is TV's Bobby Mair! The evening will be hosted by master MC Ross Smith!

Ross Smith is a regular face (and voice) at some of the country's top comedy clubs. With the ability to read the room like a 30 year veteran, Ross has built a reputation for being a very reliable MC. Or at least he has for us!

Ross has appeared in Karl Pilkington sitcom 'sick of it' plus Apple TV + Series ‘Slow Horses’.
Joel Dommett described him as 'one of my favourite new acts'. And Nish Kumar called his comedy 'hilarious and original'.
In 2018 he made headlines around the world when he agreed to go on holiday with complete strangers, taking the place of another man called Ross Smith. His viral adventure and the aftermath is the subject of his debut Edinburgh show, I Am Ross Smith.

Aideen McQueen is one of the brightest sparks in the new generation of Irish comics. She’s sassy, sexy, saucy and side-splittingly funny. Aideen appears regularly on RTE, TG4, BBC Northern Ireland and BBC Radio 4. She is one of the resident comperes at the world famous International Comedy Club in Dublin and has appeared alongside Sean Hughes, Reginald D Hunter, Ardal O’ Hanon, Dylan Moran, Johnny Vegas, Phil Kay and Frankie Boyle.

Described by UK comedy heavyweight Mo Gilligan as “a natural on stage”, Sam Picone is a London based comedian, writer & content creator. Expect sharp observations, delivered with a knowingly dry wit. He’s written on comedy shows for Channel 4, the BBC and has racked up tens of millions of views on social media with his viral sketches.

Bobby Mair is a Canadian stand-up comedian based in London. He starred in his own sitcom with his wife on Vice and Comedy Central called Bobby and Harriet: Get Married, he has appeared multiple times on Comedy Central’s Roast Battle including appearing in a battle with his wife that got millions of hits online. His other credits include 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4), and Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC2). He’s opened for Doug Stanhope, Bill Burr and Bill Maher, appeared three times at Just For Laughs in Montreal and once appeared on Katie Hopkins TV show just to give the fee from the show to everyone she hates.

'Bobby Mair is clearly a brilliant stand up. He's either going to be a huge international comedy star or the funniest homeless man ever.' - Jimmy Carr
'A gleefully profane, joyously explicit comedy where the sickest images can be conjured up and the most cherished taboos broken, all for the sake of laughter.’ James Kettle - Guardian
'Will stamp pictures in your brain that may never go away.’ - The Scotsman
'This Canadian comic possesses a vital spark, a certain way about him that makes him exciting to watch.’  - Will Pope, Broadway Baby
'It was all bad sex, bad drugs and dysfunctional childhood. And very funny. Mair is a little scattershot and disconcertingly candid, but also very engaging.’ - Bruce Dessau, Beyond the Joke.
'Functionally mentally ill' comic who's capable of greatness, as long as you don't mind it steeped in grubby depravity’ - Niki Boyle, Time Out.

We cannot wait to see you there!
