We love our easy to grow, versatile & colourful beets. What’s more, they are one of the most nutritious of all root vegetables – just as well for we use a lot of them in our dishes both roasted & raw.
The best peas are always homegrown and our bumper crop is no exception. However, we have to keep an eye on our garden team to make sure that they do not work their way through the contents of the pods. After all, they make a tempting sweet treat between planting & weeding.
Our tomatoes are a labour of love. We work hard to nurture the fruit and use our crop in the kitchen whenever possible. After all, you cannot rival the flavour of a fresh homegrown tomato straight from the vine.
We use a variety of fresh herbs to add flavour to a multitude of savoury & sweet dishes alike. The best bit is that most of our greenery comes from our very own herb garden so it is right at our fingertips.
The first fruits of the summer, our homegrown strawberries are deliciously sweet and tender. The temptation, however, is to eat them before they make it to the kitchen which would never do – our Eton Mess would be lost without them.
