Quip Shed Comedy is back at Bel & The Dragon in Odiham on Wednesday 14th May, and joining us will be Rich Spalding, Ben Pope, host Jamie Allerton, and headliner, TV's Russell Hicks!

Rich Spalding is an award winning, mild mannered and polite (or so he says) comedian from the Midlands. His immaculately crafted material and impeccable comedy timing ensures very well delivered jokes.

Ben Pope is a stand-up comedian and writer, gigging regularly across the UK. His Edinburgh 2018 debut stand-up hour Baby Sasquatch transferred to the Soho Theatre in June 2019. He has won the Piccadilly Comedy Club New Comedian of the Year and placed in the final of So You Think You’re Funny and Comedy Cafe New Act of the Year. Ben has also previously worked with the award-winning NewsRevue, and appeared on Comedy Central’s Achievement Unlocked and BBC New Comedy Award on Radio 4 Extra.

Russell Hicks is one of the UK’s most razor-sharp and exciting comic talents. An American based in London, he is a provocative and exuberant comedian known for his masterful improvisation, and has appeared on some of the UK’s biggest TV networks, including Channel 4, BBC and ITV. Fresh from winning the Prague Fringe Festival 2024, Russell is on tour across the UK.

Russell headlines at every major club across the UK, including The Stand, Glee Club and Up the Creek, and holds a residency at Top Secret Comedy Club in London. He also compères major events like the Leeds and Reading Festivals, as well as curated indie venues, historic theatres like the Hammersmith Apollo, and private members clubs across Europe.

Russell starred in the Prime Video series Lovestruck High, which was narrated by Lindsay Lohan, as the loveable Texan Coach Hughes.  He’s written for and starred in ITV’s Stand Up Sketch Show and won the Channel 4 competition series Captive Audience with his fully improvised stand-up. Russell regularly entertains studio audiences at Have I Got News For You, The Last Leg, and As Yet Untitled. He is a Spotlight registered actor and enjoys both comic and dramatic roles. This is alongside his Stateside work with legendary Hollywood clubs The Comedy Store, The Improv and The Laugh Factory.

Please note that this show is for people over the age of 18 only, and the line-up is subject to change.
