May: British Asparagus

May is one of my favourite months because it means the start of asparagus season! British asparagus is without a doubt some of the best and I would happily have it with every meal during the spring. I like to lightly grill mine with plenty of salt and pepper and a squeeze of lemon juice right at the end. It’s also truly delicious with a big blog of creamy yellow hollandaise or a duck egg & shaved truffle.
