From 12 noon to 1 pm, little adventurers can take part in our Easter Egg Hunt in the garden, while our face painting station adds a touch of magic. We’ll also have a kids' table set up to keep the little ones entertained, with crafts and activities to enjoy.

Meanwhile, our pizza oven will be serving up freshly made pizzas in the garden, and in the restaurant, we’ll be offering our signature Sunday roasts with all the trimmings.

An Evening in Burgundy with Albert Bichot & Richard Bampfield MW

 Guiding us through this vinous journey is Richard Bampfield MW, a distinguished Master of Wine with a passion for sharing his deep knowledge and enthusiasm. Richard's expertise promises to illuminate the nuances of each pour, enhancing your appreciation of these fine wines.

The Kid’s Table is a pop-up children’s corner in our restaurant that keeps the little ones amused and allows parents to enjoy their food and drinks in peace.

The experienced team of DBS checked helpers will keep an eye on the nippers while they enjoy craft, games and creative table-top fun; meaning parents can enjoy a long leisurely lunch…and finish a sentence.

The fun is for 3 – 10 year olds.

Quip Shed Comedy is excited to be back for a night of award winning comedy at Bel & The Dragon, Churt! 

On Thursday 12th June we have comedy circuit legends Aideen McQueen, Sam Picone, and headliner is TV's Russel Hicks! The evening will be hosted by master MC Ross Smith! 

Ross Smith is a regular face (and voice) at some of the country's top comedy clubs. With the ability to read the room like a 30 year veteran, Ross has built a reputation for being a very reliable MC. Or at least he has for us! 

Ross has appeared in Karl Pilkington sitcom 'sick of it' plus Apple TV + Series ‘Slow Horses’. 

Joel Dommett described him as 'one of my favourite new acts'. And Nish Kumar called his comedy 'hilarious and original'. 

In 2018 he made headlines around the world when he agreed to go on holiday with complete strangers, taking the place of another man called Ross Smith. His viral adventure and the aftermath is the subject of his debut Edinburgh show, I Am Ross Smith.  

Aideen McQueen is one of the brightest sparks in the new generation of Irish comics. She’s sassy, sexy, saucy and side-splittingly funny. Aideen appears regularly on RTE, TG4, BBC Northern Ireland and BBC Radio 4. She is one of the resident comperes at the world famous International Comedy Club in Dublin and has appeared alongside Sean Hughes, Reginald D Hunter, Ardal O’ Hanon, Dylan Moran, Johnny Vegas, Phil Kay and Frankie Boyle.  

Described by UK comedy heavyweight Mo Gilligan as “a natural on stage”, Sam Picone is a London based comedian, writer & content creator. Expect sharp observations, delivered with a knowingly dry wit. He’s written on comedy shows for Channel 4, the BBC and has racked up tens of millions of views on social media with his viral sketches.  

Russell Hicks is one of the UK’s most razor-sharp and exciting comic talents. An American based in London, he is a provocative and exuberant comedian with a rockstar edge, and has appeared on some of the UK’s biggest TV networks, including Channel 4, BBC and ITV. 

Russell headlines at every major club across the UK, including The Stand, Glee Club and Up the Creek, and holds a residency at Top Secret Comedy Club in London. 

He also compères major events like the Leeds and Reading Festivals, as well as curated indie venues, historic theatres like the Hammersmith Apollo, and private members clubs across Europe. 

Russell regularly entertains studio audiences at Have I Got News For You, The Last Leg, and As Yet Untitled. He is a Spotlight registered actor and enjoys both comic and dramatic roles. This is alongside his Stateside work with legendary Hollywood clubs The Comedy Store, The Improv and The Laugh Factory.

Open Bar Theatre Company perform another Shakespeare classic in our garden this summer.

A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare is a comedy that weaves together multiple storylines, set in a magical forest. The play centres around four Athenian lovers and a group of amateur actors, all of whom get caught up in the antics of mischievous fairies.

The main plot follows Hermia, who is in love with Lysander, but is being forced by her father to marry Demetrius, who is in love with her. The couple runs away into the forest, where they encounter the fairies Oberon and Titania, whose own relationship is filled with conflict. Meanwhile, Oberon’s servant, Puck, uses magic to try and fix the love triangle, leading to comic misunderstandings.

In addition, a group of actors, led by the comical Bottom, is preparing a play for the Duke's wedding, but their efforts also become entangled with the magical chaos in the forest.

Ultimately, all the lovers are reunited, and the play concludes with a joyful celebration of love and transformation.
