Simon Rogan Shepherd's Pie at Bel & The Dragon
Michelin-Star chef and President of Bocuse d’Or Team UK, Simon Rogan has created a delicious Shepherd’s Pie which is available for you to try on our new summer menu.
As well as heading up the UK team in the world’s largest cooking contest, Simon is also the Honorary President of our Chefs’ Guild. We can't wait to have his very special take on this British classic on our menus.
The Bocuse d’Or is the world’s largest and most prestigious cooking contest and gathers some of the finest chefs from across the globe. Many teams receive support from their Government to prepare for the contest but the UK team relies on fundraising, donations and its generous sponsors to undertake the necessary preparations to compete successfully.
A donation from each dish sold will go towards the Bocuse d’Or UK team. Simon is the first chef to create a dish and further seasonal dishes sold in support of the Bocuse d’Or will be added to our menus throughout the year.
With restaurants in London, Cartmel, Windermere and Hong Kong, Simon might be one of the UK’s busiest chefs, but he made time to elevate a homemade dish to his standards of cooking and we can guarantee it's delicious!
Simon told us, "Spring is a fantastic season for British produce and I’ve created a pie that’s packed with flavour and fits the pub food menu perfectly. I’m a great believer in using the finest local ingredients as they make all the difference when it comes to taste. I can’t wait to see my dish on the menu and hopefully raise significant funds to help secure that place on the podium for Team UK."
