Bel & The Dragon Wendover


We are delighted to announce the opening of a new Bel & The Dragon in Wendover, Buckinghamshire.

Opened in July 2021, Bel & The Dragon at The Red Lion is a 17th century coaching inn, and is a stunning new Bel & The Dragon for you to visit.

Nestled in the historic market town of Wendover at the foot of the Chiltern Hills in Buckinghamshire, this Grade-II listed building retains many of its original features from as far back as 1669, but possibly earlier in origin.

We have undertaken an extensive renovation project led by renowned interior designers Simple Simon. Bel & The Dragon at The Red Lion offers 23 boutique bedrooms alongside an all-new Bar & Restaurant, a private dining room and a stunning new garden terrace.

Our menu focuses on great British food with a huge emphasis on provenance and quality. Whether you are after a delicious dinner, simple lunch, drinks with friends or a gourmet weekend away, the team at Bel & The Dragon at The Red Lion look forward to welcoming you.

Our menu focuses on British food with a huge emphasis on provenance and quality. Our chefs also love to add a touch of culinary theatre to the dining experience. So, expect a Sunday Roast, the likes of which you’ve never seen before.

At Bel & The Dragon, we are obsessed with curating the perfect drinks menus, a trait recognised with our place on the World’s Best Wine Lists. Our menus change regularly and include a selection of classic cocktails, big British gins, Champagnes, fine wines, local ales & more. What’s more, we have longstanding relationships with some of the worlds most respected drinks suppliers & producers, guaranteeing exceptional quality, consistency and style.

Our bar offers comfortable, stylish seating for those who wish to while away an evening with friends.
