Afternoon Tea For Two

The tradition of taking Afternoon Tea as a light meal is said to have been started by Anna, the Duchess of Bedford in the 1840s. Often troubled by hunger pangs between lunch & dinner, the Duchess felt that taking tea, delicate sandwiches, cakes and biscuits at 5 o’clock helped to bridge the gap.
