A very special Bordeaux that Bel & The Dragon have collected consistently over various vintages is Château Grand Puy Lacoste. The name derives from a combination of its location and one of the original owners of the Pauillac estate. It is a fifth growth which means anything but fifth rate – Château Grand Puy Lacoste is widely regarded as one of the most respected wine regions in the world.
Our November Supper Club showcases the exceptional 2003 Château Grand Puy Lacoste; full of body & personality. With its intense ruby red colour, the 2003 variety offers a complex combination of blackcurrant, blackberry & cherry with hints of spices. On the palate, this wine shows its maturity & richness and its verve is evident in the length of the finish. Share a bottle between two with our mouthwatering Roasted Loin of Hampshire Venison accompanied with Orange Braised Chicory and Blackberry & Red Wine Jus followed by our Warm Gooey Chocolate Fondant with Passionfruit Glaze & Caramel Ice Cream.
