Supper with Léoube

“Produce the best from what the land can give you with great affection and care.”
This is the formula that organic artisan producers & owners of Domaine de Léoube – one of the most protected sites in Europe and home to Château Léoube – adhere to. The Léoube estate, which benefits from the superb Mediterranean climate includes 65 hectares of vineyards with a wide variety of soils & natural assets. Little intervention is required and their thriving vines are a testimony to this approach.
Our May Supper Club showcases a number of the Côtes de Provence appellation’s star varieties – Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Mourvèdre & Cabernet Franc – paired with a mouthwatering three-course feast.
First on the block is Château Rosé de Léoube. Behind its pale delicate colour, lies an elegant complex wine which blends exotic fruity tones & light spice notes. Our Marinated Beetroot & Burrata with Rocket Pesto & Roasted Pine Nuts compliment these flavours flawlessly. 2011 is a great vintage at Léoube and the powerful structured Léoube Collector is a great example of this. On the palate, this wine is rich with blackberry flavours and pairs very well with our mouthwatering New Season Saddle of Lamb with Spring Vegetables & Wild Mint. The perfect sweet conclusion? Léoube’s sparkling wine is something rather special with delicate fine bubbles & flavours of yellow fresh fruit. This pale pink wine is made predominantly of Cabernet Franc and is the ideal accompaniment for our White Chocolate Panna Cotta with Crushed Honeycomb & Elderflower Berries.
