Yesterday evening, Bel & The Dragon auctioned a mouth-watering selection of Bordeaux, Burgundies and a whole host of other wonderful wines from all over the world. Over fifty guests, including a number of wine experts & journalists, congregated in our converted 18 Century church, located in the picturesque town of Godalming.

Guests were invited to peruse and bid on a superb collection of silent auction items before tucking into a delicious two-course supper including our signature rotisserie Roasted Suckling Pig and Gooey Gluten-Free Chocolate Nemesis. The 10-lot live auction that followed featured a selection of the very best crus, vineyards, producers & vintages and a Balthazar of Laurent-Perrier also came under the hammer. Burgundy lovers relished the sight of Montrachet – considered one of the world’s finest wine vineyards.

“It was a delight to break bread with so many wine enthusiasts on a cold Monday evening in March. The auction showcased a wonderful selection of wines from Bel & The Dragon’s cellar. It was an oenophile’s dream. Top notch food and an abundance of great wines were there to enjoy and help lubricate the bidders paddle arm.” John Fingleton, Auctioneer.
